Christmas Eve Services
Sat, Dec 24 at 11 am, 3 pm, 5 pm, and 11 pm in the Nave
O God, you have caused this holy night to shine with the brightness of the true Light! Let’s worship together on one of the most important days of the year. The children's pageant will be at 11 am this year with three additional services at 3, 5, and 11 pm. Both the 11 am and 5 pm services will be live-streamed. There is incense at the 11 pm service.

The Christmas Pageant
Sat, Dec 24 at 11 am in the Nave
Join us for one of the most beautiful and fun services on Christmas Eve. All children are invited to participate. They can choose from angels, shepherds or animals. We have the costumes. Costuming starts at 10:15 am. The pageant starts at 11 am. Mary and Joseph are chosen from our Sunday Christian Formation classes (students who attend regularly). Lead shepherds, angels and animals are from our Daring Disciples. We need parents to help with costuming. Please contact Deacon Lauren if you would like to help. We generally have about 70 children in this pageant to help tell us the story of the first nativity. The traditional Christmas Service Communion (Eucharist) follows.

Collecting donations throughout November
Help us collect diapers for Christ Beloved Community’s Food Pantry. Diapers are sorely needed by pantry guests, and are particularly cost-prohibitive at this time. These diapers will be collected throughout the month of November, and you can easily purchase them from our amazon wish list, and have them mailed directly to St. Paul’s. In The Name of The Father Angel Tree Program
Gifts are due on Thu, Dec 8
St. Paul’s is once again partnering with the Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries on their “In the Name of the Father” program, which allows inmates at the Forsyth Correctional Center to present their children with gifts at the center’s annual Christmas party. Gift-buying instructions will be included in the sign-up. Thank you, St. Paul’s, for helping give families a chance to celebrate Christmas in the midst of the challenges of incarceration and the painful realities of family separation. The Canticles of Advent
Sundays beginning Nov 27 at 10:15 am in Colhoun A
Among the most familiar language in the Book of Common Prayer comes from the canticles: songs found in the pages of the Bible that punctuate Morning and Evening Prayer. Some of the greatest music in the Church was composed to accompany these words, and they frame our approach to scripture. Join the Rev. Dixon Kinser and Matthew Phillips for a Bible study of four of the most common Advent canticles, uncovering the meaning of the season and words for our deepest emotions about God.

Walk the Labyrinth

Walking the labyrinth is a powerful practice for many reasons. This peaceful and contemplative practice is a great way to center yourself before the Holy Pause that also happening Wednesdays in Advent (except Dec 21).
Holy Pause in Advent: Dinner & Compline

The entire parish is invited to this Advent gathering on Wednesday nights (except Dec 21). We will share a meal together and end the evening with Compline.
Volunteer @ the CBC Food Pantry

We will continue to partner with Christ's Beloved Community's Food Pantry by serving as volunteers for packing and distribution days. Historic West End Holiday Home Tours

Advent Procession with Lessons & Carols

Advent invites us both to call out to God, and to wait for God to fulfill His promises to us. Before Christmas Lessons and Carols on Dec 18, join us for a service of Advent Lessons and Carols (no Christmas Carols here) sung by Choristers and Schola.Patterned after the forms of the evening Offices of Vespers and Matins of the ancient Church, this service is inspired by the annual Advent Carol Service held at St. John’s College Chapel at the University of Cambridge in England.
Episcopal Church Women’s Advent Dinner

All women of the parish are invited to the ECW Advent Dinner in the Colhoun room on Monday, Dec 5 at 6 pm. A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

A tradition at St. Paul’s since 2008, this beloved festival ushers in the season of Christmas. Following the model set forth at King’s College Cambridge, leaders in our parish community are joined by leaders in the greater Winston-Salem community to tell the story of salvation in readings from the scriptures. The choir and congregation respond with favorite carols and anthems of the season. This is one of our special Christmas offerings from St. Paul’s to the Winston-Salem community. Serve Dinner At The Augsburg Men's Overflow Shelter

We will partner with Augsburg Lutheran and City With Dwellings to provide dinner at the Men's Homeless Overflow Shelter. Laundry Love at Fresh Spin

Laundry Love is a collaborative ministry with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and the Wake Forest Episcopal Students. Join us in the Chapel, as we journey to Bethlehem on the very first Christmas. Children can visit the carpenter's shop, the pottery shop, the metal worker, the synagogue, and the shepherd's area. Feast of Lights

Join us for this unique service. An annual tradition at St. Paul’s since 1927, this pageant depicts the Magi’s visit to the Christ child and the spreading of his light throughout the world.
