A Christmas Offering That Brings Hope and Warmth

This Christmas season, we are called to share the light of Christ in tangible ways that make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. At St. Paul’s, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s Christmas Offering will support the 2024-2025 Winter Emergency Shelters.

These shelters, run in partnership with several downtown Winston-Salem churches and organizations, provide critical support during the coldest months of the year. This year, the program is expanding to offer:

  • Safe overnight shelter for women and children, ensuring they have a warm, secure place to rest.
  • A warming station, where anyone in need can enjoy a hot bowl of soup and take refuge from the harsh winter weather.

The shelters will operate from December 1, 2024, through February 28, 2025, but they still need approximately $35,000 to meet their budget and fully fund the program.

How Your Gift Helps

Every donation, no matter the size, has a direct impact:

  • $150 provides a woman with shelter for a week.
  • $300 provides a mother and child with shelter for a week.

Your contributions will help ensure that no one is left out in the cold this winter.

How to Give

Offerings for the Winter Emergency Shelters will be collected at:

  • The Feast of St. Thomas service on December 18 at 5:30 pm in the Chapel.
  • All Christmas Eve services.
  • The Christmas Day service.
